#1 Verify your roofer’s experience. The first thing you want to do before contracting someone to do your roof replacement, you want to verify that they are an established contractor with experience replacing your type of roofing. Make sure to talk to your roofer and ask them about their licensing, experience, and the kind of roofs they’ve done in the past. Also, ask about the size of their team and how many people will be working on the project, as well as estimated completion time. The goal is to avoid having to do your roof replacement twice, or having the job fall short and cause you more trouble in the long run.
#2 Clear the area. A roof replacement will consider the discarding of old material and the hauling up of new one. This means that clearing up the area can help protect your property and facilitate the workers’ movement. Try to move vehicles out of the way so you don’t risk them being damaged by falling debris.
